How To Control Anxiety Through Counselling and Psychotherapy

Welcome to our blog about "How to Control Anxiety through Counselling and Psychotherapy!"

Shall we begin? Well, answer this question, "Have you been feeling nervous, fear, apprehension or worried?" Did you know that Anxiety is considered a general term for various disorders that causes those types of emotions? You do now! Let's begin talking about the different levels of Anxiety.

The levels of Anxiety are called: Mild, Moderate, Severe, and Panic.

Mild Anxiety causes you to be more alert and your perception on things have increased.

Moderate Anxiety causes you to focus on the cause of anxiety. At this level you have less of an attention span than usual and your perception has narrowed more. Although your perception has become slimmer you are still able to solve a problem.

Severe Anxiety causes you to feel that something horrible is going to happen at any second and you can't make that feeling to go away. At this stage you think that it's impossible to resolve any problems or issues that you have and your focus is dispersed completely. Severe Anxiety may make you feel like you don't know what to do next, therefore you regain direction of what to do by guidance from another. Your surroundings probably would be significantly narrowed by this point.

The peak of anxiety is Panic. Panic will be probably combined with terror and apprehension which is the feeling of dread, anxiety and fear. This degree of anxiety will most likely cause you to be unable to function. You may be unable to communicate with others and/or concentrate on what you are supposed to do or what you are currently doing. These symptoms occur because you are not able to think sensibly. Some of the actions you may cause because of this extent of anxiety may cause you to uncontrollably pace and/or cause you to become active increasingly without a reasonable motive. If this is not controlled properly you may face exhaustion and negatively affected health.
