Stress Management

Stress Management Therapy in Toronto

Life is full of hassles, deadlines, frustrations, and demands. For many people, stress is so commonplace that it has become a way of life.

Getting enough sleep, practicing mindfulness, regularly exercising, and spending time with friends can alleviate symptoms of stress, but sometimes, these are not enough or may seem out of reach.

Although it may seem inescapable, there are ways to manage stress and introduce joy and recreation into your life. Through stress management therapy, you can learn coping mechanisms for stress, and decrease feelings of anxiety around work, relationships, or life events.

Signs you are experiencing high levels of stress

While in small doses, stress can help us perform under pressure and motivate us to do our best, in large doses it can be detrimental to our bodies, minds, and relationships. High levels of stress can show up as:

  • Constant anger and frustration

  • Physical ailments (stomachaches, backaches, headaches)

Stress can negatively affect our work, personal, romantic, and familial relationships. Elongated periods of stress have been linked to long-term health issues including diabetes, heart problems, and asthma.
