Who Does This Procrastination Tip Work For?

You might be an introvert with a really creative mind and a really rich inner world who also might struggle with self-sabotage. 

When things are going really well, you honestly might feel a little bit scared and like you're waiting for the other shoe to drop. 

You find yourself feeling really down or just lacking the motivation you need to pursue those goals that a week ago you thought you really wanted. 

How Does The Reverse Kryptonite Method Work?

When you're the kind of person who can get really in your head, it can feel really easy to just become overcome by your emotions.

So instead of thinking of all the things that can really just drain you and bring you down, you're going to flip it. 

What are other things that really light you up and bring you energy create a list of all the things that are literally your opposite of kryptonite. 

What really lights you up? Is it getting out in the sun? Is it doing something creative? 

When you're having a hard time getting the motivation to do something, you can go back to this list and choose activity that's going to get you out of that negative headspace. 

It doesn't matter if it's not what you should be doing at the exact moment. 

After you've gotten back some of your energy and your motivation, you'll be in a much better headspace to tackle whatever it is you need to do.

Procrastination can be caused by a range of sources - it’s different for everyone.

Common reasons for procrastination include:

  • Anxiety
  • Perfectionism
  • Feeling overwhelmed
  • Other underlying issues such as ADHD

You might also procrastinate because you know you can still get things done.

If you constantly leave projects until the last minute, but still complete them successfully and on time, then you might continue this pattern because it works for you.
